Chief Minister Justice Baqir Engages with Medical Professionals to Enhance Healthcare in Sindh

Karachi, In a collaborative effort to bolster healthcare services in Sindh, a delegation of doctors from various medical associations and institutions met with Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (Rtd) Maqbool Baqir. The meeting, held at the Chief Minister House, focused on discussing policy matters and issues pertaining to the enhancement of services in government health institutions across the region.

According to Sindh Chief Minister House, the delegation included representatives from the Medical Association (MA), College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), Young Doctors Association, People’s Doctors Forum, Society of Surgeons, along with notable figures such as Prof. Dr. Saeed Qureshi, Vice Chancellor of Dow University, and Prof. Shahid Rasool, Executive Director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). The participants commended the caretaker government’s consultative approach and offered suggestions on policy measures to improve healthcare delivery for the people of Sindh. Chief Minister Justice Baqir acknowledged the concerns raised by the doctors’ associations, particularly regarding service structure and budget issues, and assured that these matters would be addressed with urgency.

This meeting signifies a proactive step by the Sindh government in collaborating with medical professionals to address the challenges in the healthcare sector and to work towards providing better services to the people of Sindh.
