Chaman, In a poignant ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Captain (R) Raja Athar Abbas, presented a check for 11 million rupees to the family of Samiullah, a Levies soldier who was martyred during a targeted operation against terrorist organizations in July 2023. The government of Balochistan provided the financial support as a gesture of gratitude and remembrance for the soldier’s sacrifice.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Abbas expressed profound respect and gratitude towards the family, acknowledging the indelible sacrifice Samiullah made for his country. He emphasized that the bravery and ultimate sacrifice of such individuals are foundational to the nation’s security and sovereignty. Abbas reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the families of those who lay down their lives in the line of duty.
The compensation is part of Balochistan’s broader effort to support families of security personnel who have been killed in the ongoing struggle against terrorism. By providing financial assistance, the government aims to alleviate some of the hardships faced by the families of martyrs and to honor their memory.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the departed soul, with the Deputy Commissioner praying for Allah to elevate Samiullah’s rank among the martyrs and to grant his family patience and fortitude. This act of support stands as a testament to the government’s resolve in acknowledging the profound sacrifices made by its servicemen and women.
