Islamabad, In an interview with Anadolu news agency, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza and the establishment of a humanitarian corridor to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential items to Palestinians. He warned of the potential regional spillover effects of the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Kakar emphasized Pakistan’s anticipation of the upcoming special session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. He highlighted the need for the OIC to deliberate on the situation and develop a collective response. Addressing bilateral relations with Turkiye, he called for enhanced coordination in various sectors, including trade, agriculture, and defense. On the Kashmir issue, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and the need for resolving the dispute for normalizing ties between Pakistan and India.
