Tashkent, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar is set to participate in the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) today in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. His agenda includes reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to ECO Vision 2025 and promoting regional cooperation in various sectors including trade, transport, and energy.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reports that during the summit, Prime Minister Kakar will articulate Pakistan’s vision for the future work of the organization, emphasizing the importance of regional connectivity and mutual prosperity. He is also scheduled to attend a reception in honor of the ECO country leaders.
Additionally, Prime Minister Kakar will hold a bilateral meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to discuss bilateral relations, regional, and global issues. Following the summit, the Prime Minister plans to visit the historic city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, where he will pay homage at the shrine of Hazrat Imam Bukhari, a significant figure in Islamic history.
