Quetta, Nasir Ahmed Kasi, the President of the Balochistan Lacrosse Association, has advocated for the inclusion of the Pakistan Lacrosse Women Team in the upcoming Asian Lacrosse Games. He shared his views during a joint statement with Sanaullah Khan, General Secretary of the Pakistan Lacrosse Association, highlighting the rigorous preparations underway to ensure the team’s competitive presence in the games scheduled from July 1 to July 4 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Kasi emphasized the ongoing training camps in Quetta and Peshawar, where the nation’s female lacrosse players are honing their skills. These camps are led by female coaches Manahil Riaz and Miss Rehana, both recognized at the Pakistan level one. Kasi expressed pride in the significant representation of Balochistani players on the team, noting it as an honor for the region.
The training efforts underline Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its position in international women’s lacrosse. The Pakistani team is scheduled to face their traditional rivals, India, in their first match of the championship. The prominence of Balochistan’s athletes in the team underscores their determination to achieve success at the games in Uzbekistan.
