Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has reaffirmed its commitment to the Kashmiri struggle for freedom, following the deaths of three youths by Indian troops in the Kulgam district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This declaration came as the APHC paid tribute to the martyrs, promising to pursue their mission to its fulfillment.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the youths were killed during a cordon and search operation by Indian forces using chemical substances in the Redwani area of Kulgam this past Tuesday. APHC spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement from Srinagar, honored the lives of Basit Ahmad Dar and two other young men, recognizing their deaths as significant sacrifices for Kashmir’s freedom movement. Minhas stressed that the continued struggle for freedom was the most fitting tribute to the martyrs.
The use of chemical substances by Indian troops was vehemently condemned by Minhas, who described it as a blatant act of terrorism by the occupying forces. He criticized the Indian government’s policies under the BJP-led regime, which he claimed were aimed at repressing the indigenous people of Kashmir, appropriating their lands and properties, and erasing their identity.
Advocate Minhas also highlighted the harsh conditions faced by detained Hurriyat leaders and activists in prisons across IIOJK and India, noting their lack of basic rights and medical care. He called on the United Nations to recognize and act against the war crimes committed by India in the region and urged international intervention to resolve the Kashmir dispute as per Security Council resolutions.
