Srinagar, 11 Oct 2023:The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) paid tribute to the martyred senior Hurriyet leader, Altaf Ahmad Shah, who passed away in Indian captivity last year, according to Kashmir Media Service. Statements from various factions within the APHC, including Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF), highlighted Shah’s demise as a targeted killing by India and described it as a conspiracy by the Modi regime to eliminate Hurriyet leadership while incarcerated. They also called upon international entities, such as the United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to press India to release all unlawfully detained pro-freedom leaders and to resolve the protracted Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
