Islamabad, 11 Oct 2023:The All Parties Hurriyat Conference-Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, in a meeting with Yousef M Al Dobeay, Special Envoy to Organization of Islamic Cooperation Secretary General on Kashmir, sought the OIC’s active participation in resolving the Kashmir dispute, in accordance with UN resolutions. The delegation demanded that the OIC urge the UN to communicate to India the necessity of revoking the domicile law and other stringent legislations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It was also proposed that OIC members in the UN Human Rights Council bring forth a joint resolution to establish an inquiry commission investigating human rights violations in Kashmir during the Human Rights Council’s February 2024 session.
