Karachi, Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, has underscored the importance of promoting interfaith harmony in Pakistani society. He called for organizing interfaith programs aimed at eradicating hatred and fostering tolerance. His remarks were made during a seminar titled “Religious Minorities and Interfaith Social Tolerance in Pakistan” held in Karachi today.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Minister emphasized the need to cultivate tolerance within society. He acknowledged and praised the efforts of various societal sectors and Ulema in voicing their opposition to intolerance. The Minister’s call for interfaith programs is seen as a step towards building a more inclusive and harmonious society, free from the divisions of hatred.
The seminar attended by Aneeq Ahmed is part of a broader initiative to engage different communities and faith groups in dialogue and understanding, aiming to strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and social cohesion in Pakistan.
