Jammu, Dead body of an aged Kashmiri was found in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the body of Khadim Hussain (65) was found under mysterious circumstances near a river at Chandak area of the district.

A team of Poonch police station reached the spot and shifted the body to District Hospital, Poonch, where after doing all medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to its family for last rites.

The family members of the deceased approached the Poonch police station and demanded a probe into the death of the victim.

Meanwhile, the family members and relatives of the victim, Arjun Kumar (26), who was killed in custody of Katra police station in Reasi held a strong protest demonstration over custodial killing.

Family members and relatives of the deceased also demanded stern action against the policemen responsible for the death of Arjun Kumar.

The protesters also blocked roads following which senior police and civil officers reached the spot and announced magisterial inquiry into the case.

Later, the body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after conducting a postmortem by a board of doctors.
