ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced the government’s commitment to enhancing the Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims by integrating modern technology into the pilgrimage process. The pledge was made during a news conference in Islamabad, where Yousaf detailed plans to ensure a comfortable stay for pilgrims in the Holy Land.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister outlined the Hajj Policy 2027, which will allow 107,526 Pakistani pilgrims to perform Hajj next year under a government-managed scheme. The policy includes two package options: a 40-day Hajj scheme priced at Rs1.2 million and a shorter 20 to 25-day package at Rs1.3 million.

The collection of the first installment for the Hajj packages will commence on the seventeenth of this month, with the second installment scheduled for the first week of October. Additionally, Yousaf stated that 71,684 pilgrims will perform Hajj next year under a private scheme. To accommodate these pilgrims, a digital payment system via the Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal has been introduced, aimed at facilitating the payment process and ensuring transparency.

The Minister emphasized that these initiatives reflect the government’s dedication to improving the spiritual journey for Pakistani pilgrims through the adoption of cutting-edge technology.
