Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar emphasized the significance of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement in fostering regional peace during a recent telephonic conversation with President of Congo Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and former President of Guinea-Bissau, General Umaro Sissoco Embaló. The agreement, which involves Pakistan, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia, was highlighted as a pivotal element in strengthening strategic cooperation and contributing to regional stability and security.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister and President Tshisekedi also discussed Pakistan-Congo relations, underscoring the necessity of enhancing bilateral cooperation through high-level exchanges. Furthermore, Senator Dar extended his best wishes to President Tshisekedi and the Congolese people, reinforcing the diplomatic ties between the two nations.
