Two Indian Paramilitary Constables Commit Suicide in Separate Incidents

Guwahati: In a grim series of events, two constables from the Indian paramilitary forces have committed suicide in distinct incidents across two different states in India, raising concerns about the mental health and well-being of security personnel.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Jadhav Atul Hari, a head constable with the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), tragically ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle at the 175 Battalion camp located on the outskirts of Guwahati in Assam. Found in his quarters in a pool of blood, Hari’s motivations for his actions remain undetermined as of now.

In a separate but equally tragic incident, Akash Kumar, a 24-year-old constable with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), was discovered deceased at the Layakdih camp in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. Kumar was found hanging from a ceiling fan, and his death was confirmed at a nearby health center. Like Hari, Kumar’s reasons for taking his own life have not been established, complicating the efforts to understand these tragic events.
