Karachi, Syed Murad Ali Shah has been inaugurated as the Chief Minister of Sindh in a ceremony held at the Governor House, marking his third term in this pivotal role. The oath of office was administered by Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori, signifying the commencement of Shah’s leadership tenure. Elected by a historic majority, Shah secured 112 votes out of 148 members of the House, showcasing strong support for his leadership within the provincial assembly.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this election makes Shah the 25th elected Chief Minister of Sindh, and his victory by a record number of votes highlights his prominent standing among the assembly members. The ceremony saw the attendance of significant figures including the outgoing caretaker Chief Minister Justice Maqbool Baqar, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, members of the Sindh Assembly, ambassadors from various countries, IG Sindh, business community leaders, and numerous notables from the city.
