Islamabad: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has ramped up its nationwide crackdown on the illegal sale, manufacturing, and distribution of counterfeit medical products, according to a recent statement from the Ministry of National Health Services. Over the past fifteen days, DRAP, in collaboration with provincial health authorities, has conducted successful enforcement actions that have led to substantial seizures, facility closures, and legal proceedings.
The DRAP-led team has also targeted illegal manufacturing operations of unregistered medical devices in Islamabad, taking decisive measures to curb this unlawful activity. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to safeguard the pharmaceutical industry and ensure public safety.
In a proactive move, DRAP has issued an urgent alert warning the public about the presence of a specific medicine in the market, signaling its commitment to protecting consumers from harmful substances.
