Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, marked World Health Day by underscoring the significance of a healthy populace for the development and stability of Pakistan. He asserted that the occasion serves as a crucial reminder of the state’s responsibility to provide quality, timely, and equitable healthcare to all citizens.
According to the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq pointed out the numerous challenges Pakistan faces in the health sector, such as limited access to services, resource shortages, and a growing population. He called for a comprehensive strategy and sustainable policymaking to ensure basic healthcare access for every citizen without discrimination.
He acknowledged the ongoing efforts by the government and relevant institutions to improve the healthcare sector, while emphasizing the need for more coordinated and effective initiatives, particularly in remote and underdeveloped regions.
