Sindh Chief Minister Celebrates ‘Battle of Truth’ Anniversary with Emphasis on National Unity

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has commemorated the anniversary of the “Jashn-e-Ma’raka-e-Haq” (Festival of the Battle of Truth), highlighting Pakistan’s defensive victory and national solidarity against Indian hostilities last year. Addressing a ceremony at a local hotel, Mr. Shah recalled the nation’s unified response to what he described as India’s “evil eye” on Pakistan.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the events began on April 22 of the previous year when India initiated a false flight operation, attributing blame to Pakistan. Mr. Shah emphasized the nation’s preference for peace, inviting India to provide any evidence of wrongdoing, which he stated was never furnished. “India’s military aggression, including the deployment of its air force, was met with a robust response from Pakistan’s air power,” he remarked, noting the downing of Indian Rafale jets.

Mr. Shah paid tribute to Pakistan’s military and media for their roles in the swift and decisive victory, while also addressing the disinformation propagated by the Indian media. He lauded the contributions of former leaders, including Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, for their roles in strengthening Pakistan’s defense capabilities through nuclear and missile advancements.

Highlighting the significance of the recent conflict, Mr. Shah mentioned the use of JF-17 and J-10C fighter jets, acquired during President Asif Ali Zardari’s tenure, to counter Indian aggression. He also praised Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his diplomatic efforts as the country’s foreign minister during the conflict.

Murad Ali Shah affirmed the Pakistan Peoples Party’s commitment to national defense, underlining Pakistan’s emerging role in global peace efforts. He reiterated the country’s unwavering support for Palestine and its stance against Israeli actions.
