Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Meets Pakistan’s Senate Chairman to Enhance Bilateral Ties

Islamabad: The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, met with Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani at the Parliament House to discuss strengthening bilateral relations. The meeting included discussions on political cooperation, trade, and regional connectivity, following the recent state visit of Kazakhstan’s President.

According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Gilani commended Ambassador Kistafin for his efforts in fostering relations between the two nations and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to its ties with Kazakhstan. The meeting covered various areas of mutual interest, such as parliamentary diplomacy, economic collaboration, and regional cooperation.

Highlighting the significance of parliamentary diplomacy, Chairman Gilani called for strengthened institutional connections and regular high-level exchanges. On the economic front, he noted the growth in bilateral trade, especially in agriculture, and stressed the need for direct air links to enhance trade and tourism.

Regional cooperation was also a focal point, with Chairman Gilani emphasizing the need for regional market access and inter-regional linkages. Ambassador Kistafin praised Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and expressed Kazakhstan’s interest in expanding cooperation.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress in bilateral relations and committed to deepening cooperation through ongoing dialogue and engagement.
