Ottawa, September 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), the international organization spearheading the separate homeland in the name of Khalstan in India, has asked Indian Hindus to leave Canada for supporting the country of their origin and promoting violence by celebrating the killing of Khalistani leader, Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, SFJ’s legal counsel Gurpatwant Pannun in a video said, “Indian Hindu leave Canada; go to India. You not only support India but you are also supporting the suppression of speech and expression of pro-Khalistan Sikhs.”
The SFJ has said it feels “emboldened” by the Trudeau government’s recent actions of disengaging with India.
In an opinion piece in the Canadian national daily The Globe and Mail, Andrew Coyne called for the need to keep the peace domestically in the aftermath of Nijjar’s killing. “There will be many Sikh Canadians who will be left shaken by Mr Nijjar’s killing; some will be enraged, and some of them may be tempted to engage in reprisals of some kind.” Coyne warned the risk of ethnic and sectarian bloodshed in Canada is real.
Experts say that India, dominated by politicians from the Hindutva ideology, has been using brutal force mercilessly against any move to free Kashmir, Khalistan, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Manipur where wars of liberation keep on going in one form or the other. They say these territories are rocked by a large number of armed and violent rebellions, some seeking separate states, some fighting for autonomy. In the recent years, India’s counterinsurgency strategy to crush these movements has badly failed.
The experts say that Modi’s war-mongering strategy has increased country’s defence budget, as New Delhi also continued purchasing arms and weapons from the Western countries, particularly the US and Israel. In fact, Modi’s extremist policies have been backfiring on India-overt and covert intervention through RAW in the world, they say.
