Security Forces in Pakistan Achieve Major Successes in Counterterrorism Operations

ISLAMABAD: In a determined effort to dismantle terrorist networks, Pakistani Security Forces, in collaboration with the Police, have conducted a series of high-tempo intelligence-driven operations across the country, resulting in significant blows to the Indian-sponsored groups Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan. The operations, part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign, have successfully eliminated 49 terrorists and thwarted attempts to destabilize the region.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa led to the elimination of 12 khwarij associated with Fitna Al Khwarij in the districts of Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai, and Khyber. The security forces recovered and destroyed a substantial cache of explosives, weapons, ammunition, and motorcycles during these operations.

In Balochistan, the operations neutralized 37 terrorists linked to Fitna Al Hindustan across Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar, and Panjgur districts. Security forces seized and destroyed a significant array of weapons, explosive drums, and remote detonation equipment.

The Pakistani Security Forces remain committed to defending the nation’s frontiers and are conducting sanitization operations to root out any remaining threats. The counterterrorism campaign, operating under the vision “Azm e Istehkam” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, will persist in its efforts to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
