Islamabad, September 25, 2023 (PPI-OT): In Modi’s India, Muslims are being discriminated against in all spheres of life and are being continuously targeted by Hindutva activists in India.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said anti-Muslims sentiments have heightened in India under Modi as persecution of Muslims has sharply increased since the Bharatiya Janata Party took power in India.

It deplored that the Modi regime was planning ethnic cleansing of Muslims through discriminatory laws like Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), National Population Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). The 1992 Babri Masjid demolition, 2002 Gujrat massacre and 2020 New Delhi religious riots are some of the glaring examples of Muslim persecution in India, it lamented.

The report said Hindutva leaders under state patronage openly incite crimes against Muslims, adding Indian states have passed laws restricting Muslims’ religious freedoms. The Modi regime is promoting Hindu supremacy in India, it deplored.

It said Hindutva leaders are overtly calling for mass killings and use of weapons against Muslims. Modi’s fascist policies are reminiscent of that of Hitler and the experts have warned of impending genocide of Muslims in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India, the report maintained.

The report said the extremist agenda of the Modi regime is a real threat to peace in the South Asian region as it is trampling upon fundamental freedoms of Muslims in India and the occupied territory.

It urged the world to take practical steps for protection of Muslims’ rights in India and IIOJK.
