LAHORE, The Punjab Police, under the leadership of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, is persistently implementing welfare measures for families of police martyrs. Recently, a significant gesture was made by allotting a house worth Rs 1 crore 35 lakh to the family of Constable Muhammad Arsalan Ijaz Shaheed, who sacrificed his life in the line of duty.
According to Punjab Police, Constable Muhammad Arsalan Ijaz was tragically martyred in Nankana on August 30 the previous year during a confrontation with notorious bandits. The purchase of the house for the martyr’s family was made possible through funds released by the Punjab government, spurred by the dedicated efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar.
Dr. Usman Anwar extolled the bravery of Constable Muhammad Arsalan Ijaz, emphasizing his fearless confrontation with dangerous bandits, leading to his ultimate sacrifice. The IG reiterated that the Punjab Police would forever remember the sacrifice of its courageous son. He affirmed that as a force that has over 1600 valiant martyrs like Constable Muhammad Arsalan Ijaz, the Punjab Police would prioritize the welfare of the families left behind.
