Lahore, Head Constable Tanveer ul Islam of the Punjab Highway Patrol has recently earned a PhD in Urdu Literature from the International Islamic University Islamabad, achieving this academic milestone while actively serving in the police force.
According to Punjab Police, Tanveer ul Islam was honored by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar at the Central Police Office, where he received a certificate of appreciation and a cash reward for his academic excellence. During the meeting, Dr. Anwar expressed pride in having highly educated officers like Tanveer within the ranks, noting that many officers in the force hold advanced degrees in various fields including engineering and literature.
Tanveer ul Islam, who joined the police force in 2005 with an FA degree, credited his success to the continuous support and encouragement from his superiors and colleagues. The event was also attended by key officials such as DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar and AIG Discipline Asif Ameen Awan.
