SRINAGAR, Residents of Hajin in Bandipora district, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, took to the streets today to protest against the Water Resources Department’s failure to provide adequate water supply to their area.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the demonstration saw a considerable turnout, including women, who congregated near the Vijpara bus stand. They blocked the Hajin-Sopore road for several hours, aiming to highlight their plight to the authorities.
The local residents expressed their frustration over the persistent water scarcity they have faced for the past five days. They claimed that despite repeated appeals to the concerned officials, there has been no significant resolution to the issue, leaving the community in distress.
