Proclaimed Offender Impersonating Army Officer Arrested in Sahiwal

Sahiwal, A proclaimed offender, who falsely identified himself as an army officer, was arrested by the Malkian Hans police in Kot Hukam Singh on Monday. The arrest marks a significant development in an ongoing case involving the suspect.

According to Punjab Police, the individual, Tariq Hussain of Check Dhola, was a nominated suspect in a girl kidnapping case under sections 365-B and 379 of the Pakistan Penal Code. He had been evading law enforcement for the past year. When stopped at a checkpoint, Tariq presented a Pakistan Army Officer ID card, claiming to be the computer lab in charge at the Punjab Regiment.

However, upon checking his CNIC number against the online police database, it was revealed that he was a proclaimed offender. The police proceeded to arrest him and also recovered an army uniform in his possession. This case highlights the vigilance of the Punjab police in identifying and apprehending individuals attempting to deceive law enforcement by impersonating military personnel.
