Probationary Officers of 54th Common Training Programme Visit Pakistan Senate


ISLAMABAD: A delegation of 110 probationary officers from the 54th Common Training Programme recently visited Parliament House in Islamabad. They received a comprehensive briefing on the Senate’s structure, functions, and constitutional role, presented by Secretary Senate and Joint Secretary Haris Rehman.



According to Senate of Pakistan, the briefing emphasized Parliament’s bicameral nature, detailing the respective roles of the Senate and National Assembly and highlighting the Senate’s functions of representation, legislation, and oversight. The officers were also informed about the workings of parliamentary committees and the Senate Secretariat, which was followed by a question-and-answer session with the Secretary, State of Pakistan.



At the end of the visit, the delegation presented a shield to the Secretary Senate as a gesture of appreciation.
