Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a directive for enhanced inter-ministerial coordination to accelerate the second phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), emphasizing the importance of timely completion of the project.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting held in Islamabad to review CPEC and other Chinese investment projects, Prime Minister Sharif expressed dissatisfaction with any delays and underscored the necessity of making Gwadar port fully operational by increasing imports through the facility.

He praised the level of economic cooperation between Pakistan and China, calling it the highest in history, and urged all relevant institutions to work towards ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes. The Prime Minister also reiterated the importance of security for Chinese nationals working in Pakistan, reflecting the deep and enduring friendship between the two nations.
