President of Pakistan Congratulates New Bangladeshi Leader, Emphasizes Strengthened Ties

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his congratulations to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir following his election as President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Zardari expressed optimism for continued progress and the advancement of Bangladesh under Alamgir’s leadership.

According to Radio Pakistan, a press release from the Media Wing of the President’s Secretariat highlighted the strong bonds between Pakistan and Bangladesh, which are rooted in shared history, faith, and cultural ties. Zardari welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral relations and expressed hope for continued cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

President Zardari emphasized his eagerness to work with President Alamgir to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries. He also extended an invitation to the newly elected Bangladeshi President to visit Pakistan, expressing confidence that such a visit would enhance bilateral ties and deepen cooperation.

In his message, President Zardari conveyed his best wishes to Alamgir for the successful fulfillment of his presidential responsibilities, and for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the Bangladeshi people.
