President and Prime Minister Reaffirm Commitment to Citizens’ Rights

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reiterated their dedication to upholding the fundamental rights and dignity of individuals as enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973. They emphasized this commitment in separate messages on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, underscoring the government’s focus on protecting the rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups within society.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari highlighted Pakistan’s solidarity with the global community in recognizing the bravery, altruism, and commitment of humanitarian workers who provide essential services during natural disasters, emergencies, and crises. He expressed the nation’s gratitude for their contributions.

Prime Minister Sharif, in his message, affirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the highest ideals of humanity, stressing that the nation will uphold these values in both peaceful and crisis situations. He reiterated that the protection of citizens’ rights remains a top priority for the government.
