Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi has sanctioned the reconstitution of the Council of Common Interests (CCI), a pivotal constitutional body in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the newly reconstituted CCI will be chaired by the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar. The Council will include all four Chief Ministers from the provinces of Pakistan as well as three Federal Ministers. The Federal Ministers who will be part of the CCI are those holding the portfolios of Finance, Privatization, and Law.

This reconstitution represents a significant reshuffle in the composition of the Council, which plays a crucial role in ensuring coordination and resolution of disputes between the federation and the provinces.
