Political Parties Required to Submit Financial Statements by August 29, 2026


Islamabad: Political parties in Pakistan are reminded to submit their consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year 2025-2026 by August 29, 2026, as stipulated by the Election Commission of Pakistan. This requirement is outlined under section 210 of the Elections Act, 2017, and related rules, with the deadline marking the end of a 60-day period following the fiscal year’s close on June 30, 2026.



According to Press Information Department, political parties must provide a comprehensive account of their annual income, expenses, sources of funds, and current assets and liabilities. These submissions must include an audit report by a Chartered Accountant and a certification by an authorized party official affirming the accuracy and legality of the financial data, in compliance with the Elections Act, 2017. The required Form-D for these submissions is available for collection at the Election Commission Secretariat and provincial offices, and can also be accessed online. The detailed procedure mandates submission in person by an authorized party representative, ensuring compliance with Election Rules, 2017.
