Islamabad: Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, inaugurated an exhibition in Islamabad featuring products crafted by trainees from PBM’s Women Empowerment Centres across Pakistan. The two-day event, organized in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and An-Nisa Dastkari School, is being held at Aiwan-e-Quaid, F-9 Park.

According to Press Information Department, the event was attended by the Ambassador of Rwanda to Pakistan, H.E. Harerimana Fatou, MNA & Parliamentary Secretary for the National Heritage & Culture Division, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, as well as leaders of non-governmental organizations and trainees from the empowerment centers. The exhibition aims to connect women trainees with broader markets, focusing on skills development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.

Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt highlighted the importance of introducing women trainees to modern marketing practices and digital platforms to broaden their market reach. He praised the collaborative efforts of PBM and its partners in organizing the exhibition and emphasized the need for partnerships between public and private sectors to create economic opportunities for women across Pakistan. The Managing Director also pointed out recent reforms in PBM’s Women Empowerment Centres, which have trained over 400,000 women.

In her address, Ambassador Fatou commended the richness of Pakistani culture and PBM’s efforts in empowering women. She expressed her commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift the lives of women. Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Farah Naz Akbar also underscored the importance of skilled women and applauded PBM’s role in fostering an environment where women can transform their skills into economic opportunities.
