ISLAMABAD, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul Haq Kakar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people during his conversation with President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the two leaders are participating in the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which has been convened to address the grave situation in occupied Palestine due to Israeli aggression.
Prime Minister Kakar emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to an equitable and lasting resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He advocated for a two-state solution, envisioning the creation of a sovereign and viable Palestinian state with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital, in line with borders established prior to 1967 and according to OIC resolutions.
Furthermore, Kakar strongly condemned the indiscriminate force and bombings by Israeli forces targeting hospitals, refugee camps, schools, and residential areas. He highlighted the tragic loss of over ten thousand lives and the forced displacement of Palestinian families, underscoring the severity of the humanitarian crisis in the region.
