Pakistan’s Planning Minister Leads Review of Public-Private Partnership Policy


Islamabad, The Minister of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, chaired a key meeting today at the Planning Commission to conduct a strategic review of the Federal Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Policy, aiming to refine its operational framework and effectiveness.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting was attended by various ministers and stakeholders, including the Minister of Petroleum and Water Resources, Mr. Musadik Malik, and the Minister for Maritime Affairs, Mr. Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh. This review aligns with the Prime Minister’s directives and is part of an effort to enhance the implementation mechanism of the PPP policy, which is critical for facilitating sustainable and inclusive growth through public-private collaborations. The discussion focused on identifying areas for improvement within the current policy framework, with a commitment from all parties to continue refining the policy in subsequent meetings.
