Pakistani PM Commits to Fostering a Business-Friendly Environment


Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq has pledged to create a favorable environment for the private sector in Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of business growth for the country’s economic development.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during an event organized by Pathfinders in Davos, PM Kakar articulated Pakistan’s dedication to providing a conducive business environment. He noted that the government plans to reinvest the taxes collected from businesses into the social sector, highlighting a strategy that aligns economic growth with social development.



The Prime Minister underscored Pakistan’s demographic advantage, pointing out that sixty percent of its population is under the age of thirty. He highlighted the country’s burgeoning IT sector, which boasts around 1.5 million workers and is gaining international accreditation.



PM Kakar also mentioned recent improvements in Pakistan’s taxation and governance structures, expressing satisfaction with the positive sentiment this has generated among the Pakistani people.



Emphasizing Pakistan’s unique geostrategic location, Kakar portrayed the country as an ideal destination for foreign investment and industrialization. He noted its diverse cultures, languages, ethnic groups, and cuisines, adding to its appeal as a business destination. The Prime Minister also pointed out opportunities arising from China’s industrial relocation, with Pakistan being a potential beneficiary.



This commitment from the Prime Minister at a global forum reflects Pakistan’s efforts to attract foreign investment and stimulate its economic growth through private sector engagement.
