Islamabad: In a significant development aimed at boosting agricultural ties, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Pakistan’s Minister for National Food Security and Research, advocated for increased access of Pakistani agricultural products to US markets during a meeting with US Ambassador Donald Blome in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Hussain highlighted the potential benefits of strengthened agricultural cooperation between Pakistan and the United States, including the transfer of agricultural technology to enhance production capacities. The conversation also touched on strategies for confronting the challenges posed by climate change on agriculture.

Ambassador Blome reiterated the United States’ commitment to continuing its support for Pakistan in both social and agricultural sectors. He outlined ongoing efforts under a food security program conducted in collaboration with UNICEF and expressed a determination to augment cooperation in Pakistan’s agriculture sector further.
