Pakistan PM Seeks to Enhance Bilateral Ties with Qatar, Discusses Trade and Investment

Islamabad, In a meeting with Qatari Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to broaden bilateral cooperation with Qatar, especially in trade and investment.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Kakar highlighted the strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar and conveyed his warm regards to the Amir of Qatar. He emphasized the active role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council in attracting investors from Gulf countries, including Qatar, to capitalize on opportunities in key economic sectors in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister encouraged Ambassador Al-Khater to consider potential cooperation in the tourism and media sectors. He also acknowledged Qatar’s significant role in diplomatic efforts that led to a ceasefire in Gaza, underscoring the need for collective action, particularly by the Muslim community, to foster peace in Palestine.

Prime Minister Kakar congratulated Ambassador Al-Khater on his ambassadorial role in Pakistan and expressed hope for further strengthening the friendship between the two countries during his tenure.
