ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan – Nepal+Bhutan Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) of the National Assembly of Pakistan engaged in discussions with the Nepalese Ambassador to Pakistan to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing parliamentary and people-to-people exchanges. The meeting, led by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani, took place at Parliament House and included discussions on expanding cooperation in trade, education, and tourism.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the meeting with Ambassador Rita Dhital was attended by several members of the PFG, including Mr. Shahzada Muhammad Gushtasap Khan, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, and others. The discussions underscored the deep-rooted cultural and historical ties between Pakistan and Nepal, emphasizing the potential for increased cooperation in various sectors such as trade, investment, and digital services.

The Ambassador appreciated the warm reception and highlighted ongoing cooperation in education, climate change, and trade. Both parties agreed on the importance of enhancing parliamentary exchanges and facilitating connectivity, including the restoration of direct air links. The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthen the longstanding relations between the two nations, with shared interests in tourism and cultural exchanges.
