Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced that Pakistan has successfully avoided an oil crisis despite ongoing regional tensions, attributing this stability to effective monitoring of oil consumption, sufficient reserves, and an improved strategic approach.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister chaired a meeting in Islamabad focused on reviewing the nation’s petroleum product reserves. During the meeting, Sharif directed authorities to maintain vigilant monitoring of oil consumption to ensure a steady supply. He emphasized the government’s commitment to implementing measures aimed at providing maximum relief to the public.
In a briefing at the meeting, officials reported that Pakistan currently possesses adequate petroleum stockpiles. They highlighted the importance of prudent consumption to uphold these reserves. Additionally, the meeting participants were informed of preemptive arrangements for oil imports to meet future demands, ensuring continued stability in the country’s oil supply.
