Pakistan Investigates Iran’s Airspace Violation, Info Minister Confirms

Islamabad, The government of Pakistan has lodged a protest with Iranian authorities over an “unprovoked violation” of its airspace, confirmed Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs, Murtaza Solangi.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Solangi, while speaking on a private television talk show, stated that the incident is under thorough investigation. He assured that Pakistan would take appropriate measures in accordance with international laws, particularly those concerning state sovereignty.

Addressing another issue, Solangi clarified that no political party is being discriminated against in the country. He referred to the arrests made in connection with the May 9 incidents, emphasizing that these were unrelated to the elections. Solangi also commented on the Supreme Court’s decision regarding intra-party polls of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), noting that it would enhance democracy within political parties.
