Pakistan Customs Enforcement in Peshawar Records Major Revenue Increase During FY 2025-26


Islamabad: Pakistan Customs Enforcement, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Peshawar, has reported a substantial increase in revenue realization for the Financial Year 2025-26. The Federal Board of Revenue has focused on enhancing enforcement practices, improving transparency, and optimizing recovery from confiscated assets.



According to Press Information Department, the Collectorate achieved revenue of Rs. 2.902 billion through the disposal and confiscation of gold, silver, and foreign currency, marking a 537.58% increase over the combined performance of the previous two years. Specifically, revenue from confiscated gold surged to Rs. 2.332 billion, up from Rs. 139.391 million in FY 2024-25 and Rs. 81.689 million in FY 2023-24, an increase of 955.01%.



Additionally, Rs. 89.13 million was generated from confiscated silver, while revenue from confiscated foreign currency rose to Rs. 479.975 million, a 105.12% increase from the previous year. Public auctions of confiscated goods also saw significant growth, with Rs. 1.954 billion realized, a 72.51% increase compared to Rs. 714.44 million in FY 2024-25 and Rs. 418.28 million in FY 2023-24.



These results highlight Pakistan Customs’ focus on effective enforcement and anti-smuggling operations. The Federal Board of Revenue is dedicated to further enhancing enforcement, combating smuggling, and ensuring efficient customs operations to maximize government revenue.
