Pakistan Conducts Precision Strikes Against Terrorist Hideouts in Iran’s Sistan-o-Baluchistan

Islamabad, In a decisive move to counter terrorism, Pakistan carried out a series of coordinated precision military strikes this morning against terrorist hideouts in the Sistan-o-Baluchistan province of Iran. The operation, codenamed ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar,’ resulted in the elimination of several terrorists.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan has consistently raised concerns with Iran over the years regarding the sanctuaries and safe havens utilized by Pakistani-origin terrorists, known as ‘Sarmachars,’ in the ungoverned areas of Iran. Despite sharing multiple dossiers containing concrete evidence of the terrorists’ presence and activities, there had been a lack of substantial action to address these concerns.

The decision to execute this operation was based on credible intelligence indicating the imminent execution of large-scale terrorist activities by these Sarmachars. The operation reflects Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to national security and the professional capability of its armed forces. Pakistan maintains that it will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.

The Ministry emphasized Pakistan’s respect for Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stating that the operation’s sole objective was to safeguard Pakistan’s own security and national interests. As a responsible member of the international community, Pakistan adheres to the principles of the UN Charter, including the respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of member states.

Pakistan’s actions are framed within the context of international law, underscoring its resolve to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity under all circumstances. The Ministry also highlighted the brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Iran, expressing respect and affection for the Iranian people and a commitment to dialogue and cooperation in addressing common challenges, including terrorism.
