Islamabad: The Pakistan Bar Council has formally distanced itself from propaganda associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), emphasizing that recent statements from eight of its twenty-three members reflect only their personal views and not the collective position of the Council.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Council’s Vice Chairman reiterated that the Pakistan Bar Council, as a key institution within the legal fraternity, must remain impartial and free from political influences and personal agendas. The Council issued a strong condemnation of the statements made by the eight members, disassociating itself from their views.
Furthermore, the Council rejected a statement issued by the Lahore High Court Bar Association, clarifying that such statements do not represent the collective position, policy, or views of the Council or the broader legal community.
