Quetta: The Balochistan High Court Bar Association has issued a firm rebuke of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) alleged attempts to exploit the bar association for political purposes. The association emphasized the need for legal bodies to remain non-partisan and focused on representing the legal community as a whole.
According to Radio Pakistan, Mir Attaullah Langove, the President of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association, criticized a recent statement made by some lawyers, labeling it as misleading and controversial. He stressed that political differences and debates should stay within the confines of the legal community and should not spill over into public or political domains.
Langove underscored that the institutions of lawyers are meant to represent the entire legal fraternity rather than individual interests. He called for maintaining the dignity, autonomy, and sanctity of these institutions, urging lawyers to refrain from actions that might compromise these principles.
