Pakistan Asserts Sovereignty Amidst Tensions with India

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, declared that the nation will not compromise on its sovereignty, dignity, or security, as tensions with India persist over the disputed Pahalgam incident and other regional issues. Attaullah Tarar’s remarks came during a special televised statement where he criticized India’s handling of the Pahalgam operation and accused it of projecting internal issues as external problems.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar asserted that India has failed to provide credible evidence regarding the Pahalgam incident, which he described as a false flag operation. He criticized India’s reluctance to accept Pakistan’s offer for an independent investigation, suggesting India’s fears of exposing the incident as a staged operation.

Tarar condemned India’s portrayal of international disputes such as Jammu and Kashmir as domestic matters while projecting internal issues like terrorism as external threats. He accused India of using terrorism as a state policy and highlighted Pakistan’s claims of possessing undeniable evidence of India’s involvement in terrorist activities within its borders, which has been shared with the international community.

The Minister also criticized the Indian media for allegedly spreading baseless narratives and fostering a war-like atmosphere. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to combating terrorism and underscored the nation’s unity in this mission. Tarar warned that any misadventure by India would be met with a decisive response and highlighted Pakistan’s achievements in counter-terrorism operations.

Tarar concluded by praising the efforts of Pakistan’s leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in striving for peace and maintaining national defense. He expressed confidence in Pakistan’s position on the world stage as a symbol of peace and reiterated the nation’s resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and security.
