ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the United States have agreed to pursue a balanced and mutually beneficial trade relationship. This decision emerged from a virtual meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, and Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Rick Switzer.
According to Radio Pakistan, the two officials engaged in discussions about bilateral trade ties and examined potential new avenues for economic cooperation. During the meeting, Switzer expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional stability and recognized its efforts in facilitating dialogue amid recent regional developments. In response, Khan reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to responsible global engagement and mediation.
Both parties concurred on the importance of establishing a reciprocal and forward-looking trade framework, emphasizing that such a framework could contribute significantly to sustainable economic engagement between the two nations.
