ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Sri Lanka have committed to enhancing their bilateral cooperation in the fields of information technology and telecommunications. This commitment was articulated during a meeting between Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Pakistan’s Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, and Fred Seneviratne, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions encompassed a wide array of topics, with both parties exploring opportunities for increased collaboration between the technology sectors of the two nations. Key areas of focus included artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, IT and IT-enabled services, digital transformation, fintech, startups, and digital skills development. The meeting underscored a mutual interest in leveraging these technological domains to foster growth and innovation in both countries.
