ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Sri Lanka have announced their commitment to exploring new avenues of cooperation in tourism, culture, education, and institutional exchanges. This decision was confirmed during a meeting between Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, the Advisor to the Prime Minister on Tourism, and Fred Senevirathne, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions centered around expanding tourism collaboration and identifying initiatives to enhance interaction between the two nations. Both parties expressed interest in establishing Travel Operators and Student Exchange Programmes to foster professional, educational, and cultural exchanges.
The meeting underscored the shared goals of Pakistan and Sri Lanka in strengthening bilateral ties through collaborative efforts in various sectors. The proposed initiatives are expected to enhance people-to-people contact and promote mutual understanding between the two countries.
