Pakistan and South Korea Vow to Bolster Ties on 40th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan and South Korea celebrated four decades of diplomatic relations today, with both nations reaffirming their commitment to deepen ties across various sectors.

According to Ministry of Information Broadcasting, the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and the Republic of Korea, Jalil Abbas Jilani and Park Jin respectively, exchanged messages highlighting the cordial and cooperative nature of the bilateral relationship. The exchanges were made through diplomatic channels, commemorating the 40-year milestone.

The ministers reflected on the long-standing socio-cultural ties, developmental and economic cooperation, and the contributions of the diasporas in both countries that strengthen this bilateral friendship. They reviewed the progress made over the years and the positive trajectory of their collaborative efforts.

Highlighting the considerable potential for enhanced collaboration, the Foreign Ministers pledged to escalate cooperation in political, economic, cultural spheres, as well as in people-to-people contacts. The pledge signifies an intention to forge a stronger partnership as both countries look ahead to new opportunities for joint endeavors.
