Pakistan and Jordan Commit to Expanding Defence Cooperation


Rawalpindi, Pakistan and Jordan have reached a mutual agreement to significantly expand their defence cooperation, encompassing military training, security, and defence industry collaboration.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreement was reached during a meeting in Rawalpindi between Pakistan’s Defence Minister Lt Gen (Retired) Anwar Ali Hyder and Jordanian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Maen Khreasat. This meeting marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral defence relations between the two countries.



Lt Gen Hyder emphasized the vast potential for collaboration in the defence industry, particularly in co-production and the sharing of defence technology expertise. He suggested that the defence industries of both countries could enhance their capabilities through joint research and development efforts.



This agreement signifies a deepening of military and strategic ties between Pakistan and Jordan, reflecting their commitment to mutual support and cooperation in the realm of defence and security.
